Mark: 6 Grade: C Comments for AQA: This is a clear statement of intent that offers an excellent concept that matches the music video / music magazine brief. It targets the specified audience appropriately and outlines a compelling and achievable narrative. Slightly unclear on performance element / explicit reference to how artist will feature in the video (as specified in brief). Media language elements are considered although perhaps lacking specific details in places e.g. certain shots or types of editing not described specifically or lack the ‘how’ or ‘why’ required for the top levels. Representation is addressed with reference to two theorists but not really developed or explained which keeps this from the top levels. Audience is addressed impressively with demographics, psychographics and audience pleasures. Application of more audience theory could push this to the top level.
