Preliminary exercise learner response

 1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.

• Just under 30 seconds so you’ve basically met the requirements and the deadline which is excellent.
• Opening shot works and some nice close-ups – particularly the shoe logo which meets an important aspect of the brief.
• The audio at the start – foley/background sound feels loud, is this deliberate? Music fades in nicely though.
• Lip-synching seemed out? Have you thought about male/female vocal element – is this something you are deliberately subverting?

3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?

• I think that I am on the right track to achieve the plan I have set out in my pleminiary exercise statement of intent as I have started to develop the narrative, showed aspects of performance and implemented the shoe sponsorship.

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?

• I have learned how long it takes to implement effects in after effects which will help me better organise my time in the future, furthermore I have learnt how many shots are required in order to create 30 seconds of footage which will help me further plan the rest of the video

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.

• I might change the artist from being a band into being a single artist in order to simplify filming and I also need to implement some brand identity of the artist into the video.
