This scene is used to illustrate to the audience that this moment in time is a massive changing point for the future of this world as there is constant cross cutting between 3 of the main characters of the show and the Piltover enforcers preparing for a potential war between the two cities.

The scene starts on a black screen with the non-diegetic sound of Vi telling Jinx that no matter where she is if she lights up that flare Vi will come and find her while fading onto a closeup of her face as she appears to be looking down on something before using fast paced straight cuts quickly flashing to her pulling the flare to activate it and then to her lifting her arm up to hold the flare in the sky. This could have been done in order to show how the decision was an impulsive one and she wasn’t completely sure if she wanted to do this or not. The scene then quickly zooms out into an extreme long shot showing the blue smoke amongst the nearby scenery of Zaun emphasising how small she’s feeling at that moment wanting nothing more than to be back with her older sister even after all of the years that they have spent apart. The scene then cuts to multiple closeups of Vi’s hands grabbing onto a ledge climbing up onto a ledge with another zoom out to show a medium closeup of her upper body. There are then multiple match cuts between Silco and vi performing the same action of getting up before another straight cut back to Jinx further showing the internal conflict going on in her head between Jinx and Powder as she is not sure which of the two she truly wants to find her. This scene also serves to show the difference between Silco and Vi as we later see Vi being helped up by caitlyn while Silco is instead shown to be alone.

Later in the scene the animators show Vi in a long shot where she is surrounded by pipes before having a straight cut to an enforcer holding bullets in their hand before cutting back to Vi who is sliding through the pipes and then cutting to a bullet being loaded into a chamber and then again cutting back to the pipes where Caitlyn is now sliding in before finally cutting back to the enforcer finishing loading their gun creating a link between the two actions in the minds of the audience which would cause them to believe that just like the bullets being loaded into a gun the actions that Vi and Caitlyn are about to take will be integral in Jinx’s final decision which “kills” powder ending any hope that Vi may have of getting her sister back and also the death of Silco and potential deaths among the council members.

We are then shown a medium closeup of an enforcer's face with others being reflected in his goggles showing them preparing for a potential war. The scene then cuts to a close up of Silco attacking a young man in his anger with the camera appearing to be knocked back after Silco throws the man towards it as Silco also falls backwards transitioning the shot into a medium shot His scream can still be heard as another straight cut is used showing us multiple closeups of flood lights turning on. The two locations are lit up with different colours with the location Silco is in being lit with a purple while the flood lights of the enforcers are a bright yellow further cementing the idea that these two sides are opposing each other in this conflict.

We then return to viewing Vi as she rushes out through the pipes she was seen sliding through earlier on. A match cut is used as she knocks into a passing civilian obscuring the pipes that she entered through from the audience making it unclear if Caitlyn also entered through the same way or went through a different entrance, there is then a zoom focusing the camera onto Vi as Caitlyn enters the scene trying to get Vi to leave and continue on with what they were previously doing, there is then another match cut as Vi looks up into the sky seeing the flare that Jinx used earlier on in the scene allowing the viewers to clearly see the expression on her face as she seems to recognise what it is.

Through the use of another straight cut we once again see Silco as he continues to stomp on and kick the young man with multiple match cuts being used throughout the scene in order to show his expressions and also what it is that he's attacking, another straight cut is used transitioning us into an extreme long shot above him showing the broken and dilapidated state of the building he's currently in potentially reflecting his mental state at the time as he tries to navigate the current situation between the two cities, the use of an extreme long shot could be to portray him as feeling small which contrasts to how he was behaving earlier on in the scene.

The scene then cuts back to a closeup of Vi with a match cut of Caitlyn grabbing and pulling her away revealing the flare to the audience in an extreme long shot showing how Vi might be feeling like she's too far to find Jinx as they are only two people in an extremely large city.

We are then shown multiple long shots and medium shots of the enforcers setting up the barricade between the two cities with Marcus moving to stand in front of the camera with no helmet on signalling to the audience that he just like the other 4 characters constantly shown throughout this clip are the main leaders behind the events that will occur past this point. The clip then ends with an extreme long shot of the bridge separating the two cities with the lights turning on as the enforcers set up their barricades to prevent anyone from moving between the two cities.
